Frequently Asked Questions About Custom Folders

Navigating the options for custom business folders can raise several questions. Here are the answers to some frequently asked questions to assist you in making an informed decision.

Are presentation folders the same thing as pocket folders?

Yes, the terms are often used interchangeably. Presentation/pocket folders include pockets on the inside for carrying documents and materials.

What customization options are available for presentation folders?

The design printed on your business folders are 100% customizable. We will print your custom folders using your own images or utilize our templates and custom design tools. You can choose whether there are pockets on one or both sides, as well as if you want slots for including business cards. Each custom pocket folder is crafted with excellence to reflect your brand's unique style and design, ensuring that every detail aligns with your corporate identity.

Is there an option to order custom folders in bulk?

Absolutely! Ordering presentation folders in bulk is an efficient way to prepare for large events, conferences, or ongoing business needs. Our bulk order pricing is cost-effective for businesses to allow them to maintain a consistent supply of custom folders.

If I want color printed on the pockets, do I need to select the 4/0 ink option or the 4/4 ink option?

4/0 means the outside plus the pockets of your folders will include full color. 4/4 means both the inside and outside of your custom folders will include full color. If you would like color on the pockets but not in the inside back of the folder, then simply select the 4/0 option.

What is UV coating?

UV coating is a protective finish that is added to the outside of your custom presentation folders. It provides an extra shiny appearance to make your graphics really stand out.

Should I include my company’s logo or contact information in the design of my custom folders?

Of course! Make sure to include your logo or contact information. It’s best if it’s integrated right into the design of your presentation folders.

Can my business folders have a solid color background?

Yes, we print custom folders in full color, so you are welcome to include as much or as little color as you would like in your design.

From Proof to Your Door

Review & Approve

We check your artwork and email a PDF proof for your approval.

Production

Your selected production time begins after proof approval.

Shipping

Shipping transit time follows production and depends on the shipping method you select at checkout.

Proofing

After you place your order and upload your artwork, our prepress team will begin inspecting your files to ensure your document size, bleed lines, margins, image resolution, and more are correct in order for the best print quality. They will email you a soft proof (PDF) for your approval prior to printing. Most proofs are sent within 1 business day of order placement; more complex art files can sometimes take longer.

Soft proofing is an easy way to see what your finished product will look like and make sure the content is correct. However, soft proofing is not intended for exact color matching. Every monitor displays color differently, and on backlit screens, colors may appear lighter than the actual colors contained in your files. If color matching is critical, please give us a call at 800-227-7377 to order a hard proof.
