Letter Mailers FAQ

What is a static letter?
A static letter has the same design and content throughout the print right, i.e. there are no variable elements such as the recipient's name, address, or personalized content. While the envelope can be personally addressed to a specific recipient, the inside letter would need to be something generic such as "Dear customer." The advantage of a static letter is that it is more cost effective than a variable data letter.

Can you print these letters with variable data?
For this product, check out our variable data letter mailers.

Are envelopes included?
Yes, our letter mailers include a static letter folded and inserted into a #10 envelope. Your envelopes will be printed full color on the outside, so you can customize it with your logo and return address.

Does this product include you mailing them for me?
Yes, by default, we will mail these for you. You will need to submit your mailing list on our file uploads section, and we will process your mail list after you have completed your order. Our mailing services of list processing, addressing, prep, and delivery to USPS are included in our pricing, but note that postage is additional and will be invoiced after list processing.

Letter mailers are printed on 60# or 70# offset text paper, which are high quality, bright white, uncoated text weight paper. 60# offset is a more economical, lighter weight option whereas 70# offset is a heavier weight uncoated paper. Both are writable, printable, and foldable, perfect for letter mailings.

Proofing: After you place your order and upload your artwork, our prepress team will begin inspecting your files to ensure your document size, bleed lines, margins, image resolution, and more are correct in order for the best print quality. They will email you a soft proof (PDF) for your approval prior to printing. Most proofs are sent within 1 business day of order placement; more complex art files can sometimes take longer. Soft proofing is an easy way to see what your finished product will look like and make sure the content is correct. However, soft proofing is not intended for exact color matching. Every monitor displays color differently, and on backlit screens, colors may appear lighter than the actual colors contained in your files. If color matching is critical, please give us a call at 800-227-7377 to order a hard proof.

Production Time: Production time begins after proof approval and is the time required to produce your order before it ships. It is calculated in business days, starting at the next occurrence of 9:00 AM Eastern on the 1st business day after the proof is approved. U.S. Press is closed Saturdays, Sundays and all major holidays; thus, these days are not included in the production schedule.
