Can you provide newsletter mailing services for me?

Yes, we offer complete newsletter printing and mailing services to help you save both time and money with your direct mail campaigns. Our newsletter mailing includes list processing (including CASS and NCOA certification), addressing, sorting, bundling, and delivery to USPS. To order newsletter mailing services with your printing order, simply select “Include Mail Services” under the mail services option on our instant pricing calculator. Postage is additional and will be invoiced after list processing.

Can you explain the newsletter printing size/page counts?

The finished (page) size of our printed newsletters is a standard 8.5" x 11". This means the sheet size is 11" x 17", which is folded in half to create the final size of 8.5" x 11". 4 page newsletters are one 11" x 17" sheet, folded in half to create 4 pages. 8 page newsletters are two 11" x 17" sheets, folded in half to create 8 pages. 12 page newsletters are three 11" x 17" sheets, folded in half to create 12 pages. 16 page newsletters are four 11" x 17" sheets, folded in half to create 16 pages. 4 page newsletters do not need any binding since they are made up of a single sheet of paper. For 8, 12, and 16 page printed newsletters, you can choose to either have them folded only (no stitching) or you can choose saddle-stitch binding so they are bound together like a booklet.

What is a newsletter fold?

By default, the finished size of our printed newsletters is 8.5" x 11"; however, for mailing, we commonly add an additional "soft-fold" to newsletters so that they fold down to 5.5" x 8.5". By folding to 5.5" x 8.5", your newsletters will be eligible to mail at the letter rate, which is less expensive than the flat rate.

Can printed newsletters be mailed without an envelope?

Yes, printed newsletters can be self-mailers. If you select our newsletter mailing services option, we will include tabs to properly close your newsletter so that they can be easily mailed by USPS without an envelope.

What’s the difference between each newsletter paper stock?

Gloss paper stocks will have a shiny appearance and are great to use when promoting products with your printed newsletter. Matte paper stocks have a velvet finish and thus less shine, which can give your materials an elegant, professional look. 80# gloss and matte text are lightweight and economical paper stocks. 100# gloss and matte text are high quality, medium weight papers.

Proofing: After you place your order and upload your artwork, our prepress team will begin inspecting your files to ensure your document size, bleed lines, margins, image resolution, and more are correct in order for the best print quality. They will email you a soft proof (PDF) for your approval prior to printing. Most proofs are sent within 1 business day of order placement; more complex art files can sometimes take longer. Soft proofing is an easy way to see what your finished product will look like and make sure the content is correct. However, soft proofing is not intended for exact color matching. Every monitor displays color differently, and on backlit screens, colors may appear lighter than the actual colors contained in your files. If color matching is critical, please give us a call at 800-227-7377 to order a hard proof.

Production Time: Production time begins after proof approval and is the time required to produce your order before it ships. It is calculated in business days, starting at the next occurrence of 9:00 AM Eastern on the 1st business day after the proof is approved. U.S. Press is closed Saturdays, Sundays and all major holidays; thus, these days are not included in the production schedule.

Shipping Transit Time: Once production is complete, your order will ship out via the shipping method you select at checkout. All of our orders ship from our location in Valdosta, Georgia. The transit map below shows expected transit time from our plant in Valdosta to your location based on FedEx Ground shipping. Alternatively, you can select an expedited shipping method (FedEx Express Saver - 3 business day transit), FedEx 2nd Day Air (2 business day transit), or FedEx Overnight Standard (1 business day transit).
